Well, when I saw that it wasn't working I gave out a transcript of a role play with an NHS helpline person, so they were able to read the parts this kind of defeated the object of the session, which was speaking and listening, because it became very stilted and the learners couldn't really read the longer words. But they seemed happy at the end, and that's what counts in my book.
