Matching mentors and mentees - Assessing mentee profiles: page 1 of 1

Guide: Now, see what you think about our mentees, Sonia and Jay. Have a good look at their profiles and type in any notes you want to make. Complete a checklist for their attributes and interests as you did for the mentors.

Remember, this section has extra information in the profiles page to help you with matching.

Sonia: Hi, I'm Sonia and I'm an experienced teacher of Basic Skills or Skills for Life as it's now called. With me, my students always come first and it's their needs that are important for me.

Sonia: I'm not really sure that I need a mentor but think that any mentoring relationship should be mutually supportive and non-threatening.

Jay:
Hi I'm Jay, I'm an ESOL tutor and I've been working for about two years. I'm still not sure about some aspects of my job - mainly around team leadership and management skills, so it could help me with that too.

Jay: I think having a mentor will help me to plan out my future career path. I'm sort of looking forward to it.
